One the things I absolute love to shoot is the many castles around Scotland. I haven’t even scratched the surface so far but I intend to get more in the bag this year!

They are all very different and give you a different feeling when you look at them. In some locations you could swear that you still hear the clanging of swords and the marching of soldiers. In others, you can feel the sadness and loss of those that battled to protect our home.

Wherever you are though, you NEVER leave without being touched by the beauty, the history or the spellbinding nature of them!❤️🤗🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

I’m often asked what is the single best bit of advice I can give to help new photographers get better. My answer is ALWAYS the same. Focus on composition.

Once you start understanding why photographs make you feel good, relaxed, anxious, serene, inspired, you soon understand that the photographer deliberately took the shot using compositional techniques to enhance these emotions.

I took an 11 day vacation to Albania and it turned out to be one of the best experiences of my life!! It was a dedicated photography trip and I learned SO much in such a short time❤️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿❤️🥰

Here are just a few of my images that I reworked in to a 1:1 aspect ratio. It really helped me focus on what a strong subject is and, as we all know, a strong subject helps elevate a photograph from good to great!🤗❤️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
